My Baguio Best 5

Well, today I'd like to share the story of my first Baguio trip.

We left home around 4 a.m. to avoid the crazy traffic of Manila.

Daisy was sleeping in the cage and Dahlia on my lap.

I was so amazed the beauty of the suburbs daybreak.

The brand new highway was good enough to make our trip faster and more exciting. It took about 5 hours to get to Baguio. My husband told me it used to take more because of the condition of the road.

We stayed at Atenara House for two nights. The quality of the hotel was.....(-_-) Let me just say that was the only one pet friendly hotel in Baguio. Aside from the hotel grade, there was something what made me happy. I met a nice Korean lady.

Daisy & Dahlia love her.

I assume most of you are more familiar with Baguio than I am but I wanna show you 5 places I like the best.

Number 5: Camp John Hay

Well, if you think about Baguio, this place must come to your mind first. My husband wanted to stay at their hotel but Daisy and Dahlia are not allowed... Instead, we enjoyed strolling and having some coffee in their premises.

Good restaurant! Food, price, service, interior... We just love this place! My favorite is their very fresh salad!!!

You wrap stick carrot, cucumber, raisins, nuts all together with "pari-pari" lettuce and dip it into your favorite dressing. I like strawberry dressing the best! Mmmmmm........ Yum!!!

Next day, we went back there again to discover other delicious dishes. Hehe. :P

Number 3: La TOP - Organic Vegetable Store at Trinidad Market (Benguet)

There are a large number of little vege stands in the market, however, this place is the only one store selling organic products with reasonable prices.

I made blueberry frozen yogurt with this.

Couldn't stop.

Number 2: View on the way to Baguio

I love rural streets of small towns on the way to Baguio. It might be nice to stay for a while.

Nmber 1: Bencab Museum and Cafe Sabel

Thanks for Jimmy-san, my husband's best friend, mentor, and "rich dad". He recommended us to visit there. He knows what I want, what I need, what I like!
Back in college, I was intoxicated with Egon Schiele, an Austrian artist. Why not I get hooked by Bencab art!?

Forgive me to say this but this drawing looks just like the one I drew when I was a student. Of course, his work is much better though...

Bencab has a huge garden and vege field. You can enjoy their veggie at Cafe Sabel attached in the museum too.
I was so satisfied with that place but the only thing I regret is that I didn't buy his picture book... Can I find it in Manila...?

My girls behaved very nicely during the trip. Thank you, Daisy & Dahlia. You made my trip so memorable. And I want to say thank you to my husband too for driving all the way and took me all places I have planed.

They were sticking each other like glue because it was freezing in the morning.
Where shall we go next?

OK...

rica

We also dropped by the famous Mexican restaurant, Zapata's on the way home.
