Saan ka pupunta? - Where are you going?

(I'm not sure if the translation of the title is correct.)

One of the things my husband and I like to do here is eating out, and most of the time, we take Daisy and Dahlia with us.

We don't have to worry where to keep them during our meal because nearly all restaurants provide tables outside. (Sometimes they are right next to highways where jeepneys and tracks pass by, spewing their exhaust fumes out though.)

But we have to worry about Daisy who's effected by heat very easily.

The other day, we went to a pancake place for breakfast.

However, when we get there, it was already lunch time and the sun blazed straight down on the sunshade.

In case of that, I had some packs of ice jell with me, so I put them in a water-soaked Japanese Tenugui and had it around Daisy's neck.

But they melted soon.

Then I asked a waiter some cube ice and put it on her neck instead.

It is too big, isn't it?

She looks like a delivery person or a traveler in the Edo era.

Where are you going?

We learned a lesson from the experience.

OK.

I made a Japanese Kimono for summer, called Yukata, with another Tenugui.

Next time...

  2. Poor Daisy, it looked like she was so hot. Maybe you can buy her a portable battery powered fan next time? I saw one in a hardware store once...

Her yukata is soooo kawaii! :)

  3. Yummybite-san,

Actually I made the Yukata last summer before we had Dahlia. I'll buy some Tenugui next time I go back to Japan. However, I don't wanna make Yukata any more. That made me so tired...

    Garando-san,

Yes! That must work. Thank you for the tip. ;)

  5. Hi, Ma-kun! I thought that message from my dad at first!

Your pug, Barron, looks so adorable. I can totally understand you still remember the days you spent with him. Every moment with Daisy and Dahlia is a treasure for me.
