Tomboy Dahlia

I have something to confess before 2008 ends.

My husband resently started to suspect that my little princess Dahlia might be a tomboy.

I didn't deny that she loves Daisy and always follows wherever Daisy goes although I laughed off the silly joke.

About a month ago, Dahlia had her first period. That fact is supposed to be a physical evidence that she is a girl, however, since then she started to mount Daisy.

Daisy doesn't show any reactions and acts just as usual but it came as a suprise to see that to both my husband and I. I found some airticles on the net which said it's a kind of a sign that one tries to show his/her superiority to the other but nothing which mentioned about "incontinence."

Sorry to tell this kind of silly story which only a small group of maniac people might like to hear compared to normal dog lovers visiting here but Dahlia went to "incontinence" after mounting. Oh, my... (ToT)

I haven't find a way out of this matter yet...

Dahlia, are you really a tomboy?

First Christmas with Two Girls

.
Hi, there! I hope you are all having a happy season right now.

Yes. I had so much fun with my family and did all delightful Christmas tasks perfectly, except one thing - to find a doggie stroller.

I've been looking for one on the net for a long time but there is no online pet product shop here in the Philippines although a lot in the US or Japan.

.

I can order at a Japanese site but a shipment cost will be high, moreover, no one knows how much Office of the Commissioner in this country will charge import tax on it.
.

On a Christmas eve, my husband took me to a shopping place which has many pet shops.

.

Some of the pet shops have strollers but they are all the same and I didn't like its color, design, size, function, price - I guess you can say, "everything" in another word.

I should have asked Santa to give it to me then I could have it without import duties?

.

Merry Christmas!

Talk with Daisy

.

.

..
PUGS CAN TALK.

.

.

.
.

.

.
I assume most of you visiting this site know that PUGS CAN TALK.

.
.

.
.

.

.

Yes. Daisy can talk too.

.

.

.

.

.

Every time I get home, Daisy and I enjoy a little conversation and it goes like this.

.

.

.

.

.

rica: Hey, my sweetie, how are you?

Daisy: Well, I'm OK but hungry.

rica: You are?
.

.

.

Daisy: Yeah. I was wandering around the room to look for some food.

rica: Oh, yeah?
. .
.
.
.

Daisy: Yeah, and I found something on the floor but it was just a stain.

rica: Oh...
.

.

..

.

.

Daisy: Then I licked my food bowl with no taste again. I had no choice.

rica: .....

Daisy: I wanna become food if I had a new life.
..
...
.
.
.
.
.
..

.

.

.
This is what I imagine her talking. What do you think???

.

.

.

.

.

I have Havana.

My Dahlia, My Dog

.

Most of you must think it's funny but I sometimes feel like Daisy and Dahlia are my real daughters.

.

When I see Daisy sleeping on my knees, I even cherish the illusion that I bore her. Didn't I bear her???

.

A couple of weeks ago, Dahlia threw up several times, then my husband and I started to feed her with using a spoon like as we do to a human baby.

.

One day I realized something. She loves dog food much, however, I'm never tempted to eat it AT ALL. Well..., even if we nicknamed her Princess and treat her like as her nickname, she likes food for dogs which we can never eat.

.

After all, SHE IS NOT A HUMAN BUT A DOG. That's what I realized.

.

.

My husband also had an experience that made him awake from his reverie when he was cleaning her toilet.

.

When he was putting out a tray of her toilet to clean it, she wee-weed on the toilet with no tray.

.

.

He thought, "Oh, she never knows this is a bad timing. After all, SHE'S JUST A DOG."

.

.

.

.

My little princess Dahlia, you should also realize the fact that YOU ARE NOT A HUMAN BUT A DOG.

.

.

Right?

Favorite Place

.
.
My girls' favorite place is our sofa. Even though my husband and I scold them every time they're on it and they know that they shouldn't be there, they fall an easy prey to the temptation and never stop enjoying the comfort.
.
.

.
.
It's very funny that there's the obvious difference between Daisy and Dahlia's reaction.

.
.

.

They both sometimes sleep on the sofa stealthily while my husband I are sleeping at night. When I wake up for a toilet at midnight and open the door of my bedroom, I see Dahlia running in the dark. She's trying to go back to her cushion. Hey, I see you running, Dahlia! Too late! But good try. :D

.

.

.

.

.

.

.
On the other hand, Daisy doesn't move. I mean, she can't be quick in her movements and she just shows her face and wags her tail saying, "Sorry..."
.

.

.

.

.

.
If they were my human daughters, Dahlia is a type of a girl who eats just some pieces of cookies from the cookie jar secretly and put it back on the shelf where it exactly was.
.

.

.

.

.

.
BUT Daisy must be a girl eating cookies as much as she likes and leave the cookie jar with lid opened on the floor and her face with lots of cookie crumbs clearly shows the evidence.
.

.

.

I love the way they both are. When I see the difference of their characters, I realize that they have their own lives.
.

.

.
I love you, Daisy and Dahlia.

Happy Moment

.
.
One of the happiest moments of the two girls is when my husband comes back home. (Most happiest one is definitely meal time though.)
.
.
.

Usually Dahlia knows his presence earlier than Daisy does - maybe because of her standing ears.

.

..
Super cute.

.

.
I love seeing this.

.

I wanna be taken some photos of me just like these too. (I don't think my husband does it though.)

.

..

.
I still remember the moment I again realized that Daisy was the most loving girl in my life. That day she was all alone in my room. When I got back home and stepped into my room, I felt warm only a small part of the floor by the door. When I saw Daisy wagging her tail at my feet, I knew that she warmed that spot. She had been sitting and waiting for me by the door. How long was she there and waiting for me? I gave her big hugs and kisses. She warmed not only the floor but also my heart and taught me how great thing it is to have someone waiting for me.
.

But now.., she keeps sleeping when I get home.
.

.

.
She doesn't come to me even though I call her.

.

.

.
I finally come to her.

.
She just lifts up her eyes and wags her tail several times but never stands up.
..

.
Well... I still love you unconditionally, Daisy...

Daisy's Friend

.

.

Let me talk about my Chihuahua, Dahlia, today.
.

.

.

This is the very first pic.

.

.

.

She became a part of my family two months ago.

.

.

.

Daisy gets scared.

.

.

.

My husband brought her home without telling me anything while I was out. When I got home on that day, he was taking many pictures of me and I felt it was unusual...

.

.

..

.

.

.

.

.

After a minute, I found out the reason! A baby chihuahua was on the shelf and smiling at me!!! He was trying to get a shot of the moment when I got a super surprise.

.

.

.
.

.

.
Dahlia is very friendly and acts like a little sister of Daisy. I can tell SHE LOVES DAISY SO MUCH.

.

.

.
.

.

.

She always follows what Daisy does.

.

.

..

.

.

.

Needless to say, Daisy is very nice and kind to her and sometimes acts like her mother.
.

.

.

My husband loves the new girl a lot too.

.

.

.

Although he usually doesn't let dogs on the sofa, he put Dahlia next to him of his owm accord.

.

.

.

.

.

Seeing him playing with two girls makes me so happy. Even though I've got more tasks at home and 1,000-peso bills flys away every week for two doggies, I'm much blessed.

.

.

.

.

.

Tell me your honest.
